Biological Sciences Minor

Requirements for the Biological Sciences Minor

A minor in Biological Sciences (five courses) consists of the following:

1. Two Introductory Courses

2. Two 200-level courses, each of which must be in a different group as described in the first paragraph above under major requirements

3. One 300-level course, excluding BISC 350, BISC 350H, BISC 355, BISC 360, BISC 365, and BISC 370

Four of the five courses for a minor must be taken at Wellesley. Chemistry is recommended.

Double-Counted Biological Sciences Course

The College requires that no course is double-counted between two majors or between a major and a minor. When any Biological Sciences course is counted toward a non-Biological Sciences major, the students need to make up for the course by taking an additional Biological Sciences course towards their Biological Sciences minor. The elective course must be approved by the advisor.
